As an educator, it is important that I include ELA technology standards into my curriculum. As a high school social studies teacher, I will feel most prepared to instruct students how to interpret charts, graphs, photographs, videos, maps, and research data, as described in the RHST.7 "Multimedia:" History/Social Studies standard. It is an essential aspect of social sciences to be able to analyze different forms of media and use the media to learn more about a particular subject or lesson. A standard that will require more learning on my part would be the SL.5 "Use Digital Media" because I am not too familiar with the strategic use of digital media. Once I become more comfortable with using different software, I will be able to successfully use that standard.

Technology software and applications that I will like to implement into my curriculum include Edmodo, and Kahoot. Digital citizenship concepts that will need to be addressed include connecting and navigating the web, respectful interactions, and communication skills. My students' age will range from 14 to 18 years old; therefore it is important that content posted on the classroom software is appropriate. Even though these students are older, it is still important to make sure that they are on track and displaying appropriate behavior.

While working on the Newsletter Design assignment, I learned new skills such as using columns in my documents, adding borders, inserting signature lines, and implementing graphics. I liked how I was able to get creative and imagine myself as a future teacher of a specific class. I think I can improve next time by exploring more creative options for my document. I learned how to successfully use different format settings in a document and how those settings can be useful for my future classroom.
